The rv.net website is back up. No notice, no explanation wonder what happened? While they were down I found another forum website that I joined and recommend, http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php The folks seem very friendly and the variety of topics are impressive. Check them out!

What Happened to RV.net???

Last Tuesday I was perusing the forums in RV.net and the link froze so thinking the problem was on my end I closed IE and re-opened. RV.net was unable to open much less the forums. I asked my wife to go our and open it and she has the same results. Yet everyday I'm getting email from RV.net/blogs and so far there has been nothing said about this.
Has this site been seriously hacked or what??

Fall Creek Falls CG Renovation & Reservations

Loop B in the campground is now closed for renovations through December of 2009. They are not taking reservations during this time so its just like the old days of first come first served.

Loop A was renovated in '06 and I understand are now quite nice. Have you been there since then and if so what sites can you recommend and what size is your rig?

Here is a map of the campground: http://www.state.tn.us/environment/parks/FallCreekFalls/pdf/CGMAP.pdf

FALL CREEK FALLS SP, Tennessee
One of the truly great state parks in Tennessee is Fall Creek Falls. It has numerous waterfalls and wonderful scenic vistas. There are miles of hiking trails and cable foot bridges over gorges though out the park.

The park offers several campground loops and reservations are recommended through Reserve America. We have not been back since fall 2005 and I understand the campground went through a renovation. It is a rustic campground which could be a problem for big rigs. In '05 we were still in our Coleman West Lake and navigated within the campgound without problems.

Many activities are offered at the park besides hiking and biking. They include an 18hole golf course, boating, fishing, swimming, sports field, nature center, cascades with pools for that summer dip in the woods.

The picture was shot overlooking a gulf along the driving loop.

First Time Blogger

This site is pretty much about RV travel, travel trailers, camping and exploring new areas of America. We own a Forest River Cherokee 28A+ and tow it with a 2006 Ford F-250 HD. I use a Husky leveling hitch system with an anti-sway bar for towing.

Life wasn't always about RVing. Previously my wife and I owned three different Coleman pop-ups, a Redwood, Chesapeake and West Lake. In our youth we tent camped and backpacked.

Currently our Cherokee is in the shop for some much needed repairs after a nasty blow out this past October. I'll make that a future entry once I have some pictures to post along with my post.
